Simple Palm Harbor Wedding Ceremonies

News

I hear quite often “I can’t afford to get married right now.” What’s to afford? Yes, you do have to get a marriage license, but everything else can be affordable. Maybe not elaborate, but affordable. Especially here in Florida. We have so many beautiful parks, beaches, gardens and even backyards that are great places for a wedding that have minimal cost involved. The main focus is to be married isn’t it?!

This past weekend, I performed a wedding on Saturday for Malania and Jimmy at their home in New Port Richey. They have been together for over five years and wanted to be married. A few friends and family members were guest. They kept it simple. There were cupcakes and champagne and everyone was just enjoying being together with the select people that were invited. I took a few photos for them with their camera and they were very happy.

Later in the day, I performed a ceremony for Penny and Stanley at Honeymoon Island in Dunedin. They also kept it simple. They had the beauty of the beach and had friends take photos for them. They were going out together with friends after the ceremony, but hadn’t made any plans on where.

The brides for both weddings didn’t wear wedding gowns. They did both wear smiles and I could see the genuine love they have for their now spouses.

Golf Tee Wedding Ceremony at Innisbrook Golf Resort

Golf Tee Wedding Ceremony at Innisbrook Golf Resort

News

Couples are always coming up with new ideas that they would like for their wedding ceremony. Jacklyn asked me if I could help her prepare a golf tee ceremony for her wedding ceremony at Innisbrook Golf Resort in Palm Harbor. Jacklyn and Scott’s wedding ceremony at Innisbrook Golf Resort was going to be on Saturday, October 18th.  During the ceremony they both wanted to simultaneously take a golf shot on the first tee. I sent her some vow pieces and put together a golf tee ceremony for them. She was delighted with the words and the way it was put together. For the golf tee part of the wedding ceremony, I would say, “Jacklyn and Scott will not be commemorating their marriage through the celebration of a golf shot ceremony. Scott and Jacklyn will simultaneously take a shot on this first tee. Each shot represents Scott and Jacklyn as individuals. The shots they take will be the first of many shots that will be taken throughout their marriage. Scott and Jacklyn please take your first shots. May all the shots you encounter together bring you a lifetime of love and happiness together.”  They would then both take their shots and we would continued with the ceremony.

The wedding was this past Saturday and it couldn’t have had a more beautiful day weather wise.

Scott wore a black suit with a lime green tie with a white floral boutonniere and black paten leather sneakers. I’s day he had an unfair advantage on the golf course as Jacklyn had healed shoes on. Hah! The groomsmen also had a lime green ties with grey suits. The lime green color looked so nice with all the golf course green colors surrounding them. The bridesmaids wore long black gowns and carried flowers white and lime green. Jacklyn had the most gorgeous bouquet. The flowers were arranged by Events in Bloom. Jacklyn looked so beautiful. It was hard for Scott to hold back the tears. They both said very meaningful words to each other for their vows. After the ceremony, I was complimented by so many guest on how well the ceremony went. Congratulations, Scott and Jacklyn! I wish you many more amazing “shots” together!

Palm Harbor Innisbrook Wedding

Palm Harbor Innisbrook Wedding

News

On Friday, October 3rd George Jr. officiated Morgan and Zac’s Palm Harbor Innisbrook wedding. Innisbrook offers a beautiful outdoor location for wedding ceremonies, as well as, inside reception area. George Jr. had a lot of fun officiating Zac and Morgan’s wedding. The day before the wedding they hired George to attend the rehearsal and help them run through a couple practices. This made the day-of ceremony go very smoothly.

Instead of the traditional “I do” vows, Zac and Morgan, requested George Jr. read:

“Zac, Do you promise to pick up your clothes and take out the trash? ”

“Morgan, Do you promise to not get mad when he doesn’t pick up the clothes and take out the trash?”

Haha too funny….and too true! The weather in Florida during this time of year is gorgeous. We are so happy that Zac and Morgan had a beautiful Palm Harbor Innisbrook Wedding and we loved being a part of it! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Lobitz!!!!

Palm Harbor Officiant attends Weddings on Water Bridal Showcase

News

On Sunday I participated as a Palm Harbor Officiant vendor at The Weddings on Water Bridal Showcase event at Bon Appetit in Dunedin. What a great event!! I had never participated in one of these events and I was glad I did.

Me and my table representing A Beautiful Wedding in Florida Palm Harbor Officiant Services and More!

I met a number of brides, family members, and got to meet a number of local vendors. Over 30 vendors had their tables setup displaying their products or wedding services. Prizes were given away throughout the event. Most vendors had a prize to be drawn and the winner had to be present to win. Many attendees wanted to stick around for the drawings so a constant flow of attendees continued to inquire at vendor tables about products and services they offered. A number of great wedding prizes were being given away. The grand prize was a $2500 towards a Bon Appetit wedding.  Bon Appetit provided D’Oeuvrs  and champagne for guest to enjoy as they visited the vendor tables.

I was next to Photo Bot Events. Photo Booths are such a fun entertainment wedding idea. Wedding guest can put on hats, funny glasses, wigs or a number of other get ups that they have and have their pictures taken. Photo Bots had guest putting on props and taking pictures. They even got me on one!!

I finally got to meet Desiree Chambelin who is the owner of Chantilly Cakes. Her cakes are at so many of the weddings I’ve officiated at. I never get to taste them. She had samples so of course I had to try them out. They are as good tasting as they are good looking. They are now open in Palm Harbor.

Harp by Victoria was playing soft comforting music on her harp as guest were arriving.

Photo Bots was on one side of my table and Party Doctor Productions DJ Service on the other side. Party Doctor played music, and did all the prize drawings. Attendees could request songs by texting or by just letting them know what they wanted to hear. They were so entertaining at the bridal show I could only imagine that they would have guest dancing and well entertained at a wedding.

As a Palm Harbor officiant service, we often get asked about other products services, and ideas for different wedding things. The show was a great way for me to get to know other vendors and the services they offer. The show was not only great for attendees to get wedding ideas, but it was a great way for me to see wedding ideas that I can offer and suggest to brides, couples or anyone needing so many of these services and products. A Beautiful Wedding In Florida Palm Harbor, Dunedin & Tallahassee offer wedding packages and we can also share a number of ideas and services that you may be considering for your wedding.

Sand Key Park in Clearwater Wedding

Sand Key Park in Clearwater Wedding

News

After 47 e-mails and 10 months of corresponding, I finally met and officiated Melissa & Mark’s Sand Key Park  in Clearwater wedding on Saturday night. Melissa was having about 10-15 guest and the wedding party would be their three small children. She wanted to have a sand ceremony and asked for us to provide table and cloth covering. George Sr took photos and brought our portable i-pod player so we could provide the music for the ceremony.  We also made a heart in the sand with yellow, red, and pink rose petals.

Mark wore a black tux with an orange tie and vest. Their youngest boy, Riley, was the ring bearer and first to walk down to the beach. He was so cute! Had on a black suite with an orange tie and vest that matched his Dad’s. When he walked up to Mark he handed him a note. Mark opened it and read, “I can’t wait to marry you, Mark.I love you Melissa.”

The two daughters were flower girls Kayden and Bailey. They followed after Riley. They had pretty oranges dresses on and were adorable!!

Melissa then followed the girls. She looked beautiful. She wore a bear neck sleeveless white dress with a jeweled necklace. She was carrying a bouquet of yellow and orange flowers tied together with an orange ribbon that matched the orange colors of the wedding party.

Melissa and Mark have been together for over 6 years. They met at their jobs where Mark is a welder and Melissa was a bookkeeper. It was about time after 6 years that they were married!! You could see the love and joy they had for one another.

George Sr. took pictures, before, after and during the ceremony. Just as he was taking photos he noticed the dark clouds rolling in. Fortunately most of the photos were done. He wanted to do a few more, but it was starting to rain. Then it started to pour. He and everyone from the wedding were able to run and not get totally soaked. At least all went well for the ceremony and photos. It was so nice to meet Melissa after so many months of corresponding and planning together. She e-mailed me the following day saying, “Thanks for everything. You guys did an amazing job!!!”
