She was in luck and together we pulled it off!

Amy & Ron had a Beautiful Monday for a Tallahassee Wedding

It was such a beautiful Monday for a Tallahassee Wedding. Amy and Ron wanted an intimate wedding at a beautiful park and Waverly Pond provided just that. Originally Amy and Ron had hired me for Tallahassee Wedding Special #3 but with the short planning time frame they asked me for a little help. After checking out our a la carte items they decided to have me arranged for Lance Oliver to photograph, ordered engraved champagne flutes and bottle of champagne, as well as, officiating their ceremony.

Their ceremony was short and sweet with a small prayer. After the wedding Lance took pictures around the pond, they did a champagne toast, picked up and headed off to dinner.

Wedding ceremony was held inside the gazebo.

Amy and Ron were so happy with the way everything turned out. Amy envisioned getting married in a beautiful park with a rustic feel. The wedding ceremony was inside the gazebo and was truly perfect. For everyone it was such a beautiful Monday for a Tallahassee wedding!

2016 NYE Tallahassee Wedding Ceremonies

2016 NYE Tallahassee Wedding Ceremonies

News

I officiated two New Year’s Eve wedding ceremonies in Tallahassee! How else would an officiant end the year?  😉

My NYE started with a sweet and simple wedding ceremony at the beautiful Waverly Pond gazebo. Chelsey and Brandon have been engaged for nearly 7 years! They decided to end 2016 by getting married. Brandon’s brother was present for the ceremony then they were heading to dinner. It was a very sweet ceremony to officiate.

The 2nd wedding I officiated on NYE was for Amanda and Todd at the Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Tallahassee. They had setup the outdoor pool deck for the ceremony. It was really a neat idea, and so beautiful. Amanda and Todd read the most heartfelt vows to one another. You could truly feel the love they had for each other. After the ceremony guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the pool deck which include hot chocolate…because it was a little chilly.

These two 2016 NYE Tallahassee wedding ceremonies were the perfect way to end the year. I am so grateful to all the couples I officiated weddings for in 2016!!

Cheers to a 2017 full of love and happiness! Xoxo, Amanda

Festive Holiday Wedding Ceremony in Tallahassee

Festive Holiday Wedding Ceremony in Tallahassee

News

December is a great time to get married in Florida. The weather is cooling down, hopefully, and everything is decorated for the Holidays. I recently officiated Beverly and Tim’s festive holiday wedding ceremony in Tallahassee. The wedding was sweet and simple, and so beautiful. About 30 of their closest family and friends gathered for the celebration which was held at the community center in their neighborhood. Red roses and red table clothes made for a beautiful decor; perfect for a holiday wedding. It was no too much holiday decorations, just the right touch of holiday cheer in for their wedding ceremony and reception. Beverly and Tim met on Match.com and were so delightfully suited for one another. A simple white arch and white chairs were setup on the clubhouse pool deck then the reception was held inside. Beverly walked down the aisle with her closest friend then I officiated a sweet and simple ceremony. It was a truly lovely wedding and an honor to be a part of it.

Sweet & Simple Tallahassee Wedding In Lieu of Court House

Sweet & Simple Tallahassee Wedding In Lieu of Court House

News

Getting married doesn’t have to be a big expensive ordeal. And if you don’t want a big wedding you don’t have to get married at the court house. Florida is a fairly simple state to get hitched in 🙂 You and your partner go to any Florida Clerk of Court, apply for a Marriage License, and then you can getting married! If both people are non-Florida residents you can actually be married on the same day that you get the License! Florida residents that have not taken an approved pre-martial course have a 3 day waiting period before the Marriage License is effective.

If you’re not going to have a fancy big wedding and loath the idea of a court house wedding where are you going to have it? Your house, my house, a park, or someplace special to you is always a great option.

It was a rainy Sunday afternoon but the gazebo made for a great Tallahassee wedding ceremony.

In Tallahassee we recently started offering a special for sweet & simple wedding in lieu of court house at the pretty Waverly Pond gazebo.  It’s a beautiful city park in midtown Tallahassee. The gazebo makes for the perfect little wedding ceremony spot. In our opinion this is much better than getting married at the court house 🙂

DIY Wedding Flowers

DIY Wedding Flowers

News

We do a lot for weddings- chairs, arbors, officiate, coordinate, plan, music, setup, and now flower arrangements! Hah!Recently, we were doing Tallahassee wedding day of coordinator service. Our job was not only to setup the wedding ceremony and reception space but also to put together centerpiece flowers, ceremony flowers for shepherds hooks, and decorative vase flowers to put throughout the reception site.

Our friend’s at A Country Rose Florist did the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, and boutonnieres.

The bride bought all the flowers from Costco, shared a few Pinterst pictures with me, and had all the vases ready to go. On the day of the wedding it was a lot of work but we are really proud of how everything turned out so we wanted to share how to DIY wedding flowers. *Note all the pictures featured in this  post are DIY wedding flowers and arrangements we put together.

First off, we strongly advise you to hire a professional florist for your bridal bouquet! You’ll be happy you did!

Then for the decorative flowers, centerpieces, and ceremony flowers-

Decide on what you want everything to look like. Since your DIY wedding flowers, keep it pretty and simple like 2-3 flowers.

Baby’s breath can add a lot to a single flower

A lot can go a long way when it comes to flower decorations. For example a mason jar can be wrapped with a little twin or spray paint bottles.

Buy all your vases, put in boxes with labels. For example, box 1 is labeled with “10 centerpiece vases” and box 2 is labeled “4 vases for bar”.

Purchase flowers from a wholesale store like Costco, Sam’s Club, or Trade Joe’s.

Lots

This is what it looks like when you buy flowers wholesale!

If you don’t have a day-of coordinator putting the flowers together you’ll want to start your flowers the day before the wedding then keep them in the fridge until wedding.

When making the flower arrangements use very sharp cuttingscissors (like outdoor garden sheers), put a little bit of water in the vases, cut off the excess leaves, and have fun!!

Remember flowers are pretty in themselves so you don’t need to go CRAZZYY.
