Wendy & Nikki’s Treasure Island Wedding Commitment Ceremony

On October 4, 2014 George Jr. officiated Wendy and Nikki’s Treasure Island wedding commitment ceremony. It was a beautiful afternoon for a beach wedding and George was very excited to work with Wendy and Nikki. Sadly, Florida does not yet recognize same-sex marriages. But that doesn’t mean you can’t have a beautiful wedding ceremony to commit yourself to one and other.George was the first of our officiants to perform a same sex marriage ceremony. As a team of wedding officiants and a family who believes in same sex marriage we are hopeful that soon Florida will allow us to legally marry same sex couples and we’ll be able to help ALL couples have beautiful wedding ceremonies.

Sue Ashton with Suncoast Weddings was their wedding planner. She worked with George, Nikki, and Wendy to come up with a lovely wedding ceremony. The ceremony included a sand ceremony to symbolically show their act of commitment to each other. The wedding setup was perfect for a Florida beach wedding commitment ceremony. The ceremony was located at Sunset Beach at 8000 W Gulf Blvd,  Sunset Beach, Treasure Island FL, 33796.

Nikki’s father walked her down the isle and George asked him, “Who gives this woman to this woman”. He was emotional and happy. The ceremony was sweet and short just as Nikki and Wendy wanted. George Jr. had a great time working with them and being a part of their special day….it’s all about love!
