Kevin wanted to surprise his wife with a vow renewal ceremony while they were vacationing in St Petersburg, Florida. They were celebrating 5 years of marriage. In corresponding with Kevin, I could see this was to be a very special and meaningful ceremony. They were married 5 years ago in the Bahamas. His wife Lisa’s parents nor his were at their wedding. Her parents were going to be with them in St Petersburg. He wanted to have a vow renewal ceremony in St. Petersburg for Lisa, but also to share the celebration with her parents and a few friends.
Kevin wanted the rose petal heart in the sand, as well as, a sand ceremony. He wanted to have pink, blue and white sand. The colors of the sand were very important to him. He wanted pink to represent their beautiful daughter Kaitlyn, who is 10 months old. Kevin and Lisa had difficulty in conceiving a child. In 2012 they had a son but he passed away before being taken home from the hospital. He was still in their hearts, and Kevin wanted the light blue to represent him. The white sand was for Kevin and Lisa.
George Sr. took photos. The ceremony was taking place at sunset. As Lisa, Kevin and Kaitlyn walked out on the beach Kevin saw us, and turned to his wife got down on one knee and proposed again to her. She had no idea what was going on.
Her parents and a few friends were walking not to far behind and came to join the ceremony. This was such a meaningful ceremony for Kevin, Lisa, and guests. I could see the tears in their eyes as the vows were being renewed. They held their daughter throughout the ceremony, and she was just a peach!!! So happy and cute.
After ceremony photos were taken and we had them sign a souvenir vow renewal certificate.
They would be staying in St. Petersburg for another five days before returning to their home in Illinois. Such a beautiful couple and family it was such a pleasure to perform their vow renewal ceremony in St. Petersburg.
