I officiated Stacey and Mike’s St George Island wedding ceremony on October 20, 2015. It was a perfect St George Island Elopement and I am honored to have been a part of it.
Stacey and Mike traveled to St George Island on vacation. They had never been to St George Island before but had heard it was beautiful and remote. Neither Stacey nor Mike had any history at St George– thus making a perfect St George Island Elopement spot.
Stacey and I worked together planning all the details. We went back and forth via email and text messages. It was a lot of fun. They wanted to have a morning ceremony so the beach would not be crowded. Stacey wanted the ceremony to be intimate and include a unity sand ceremony. I put together a perfect St George Island elopement wedding package for them including:
- Unity Sand Ceremony with commemorative keepsake jar
- Champagne toast with commemorative keepsake glasses
- Photographer
- Cake
- Officiant
- Flowers- tropical bridal bouquet and matching boutonniere
They were so happy that I coordinated this package so they didn’t have to worry about anything while on their vacation.
On the day of the wedding it was beautiful and sunny, but it was windy. I setup the unity sand ceremony and champagne toast on the beach. Mike was dressed in a tuxedo with sandals! It was awesome! Stacey wore a pretty white dress and a veil. We walked out to the beach and I officiated their ceremony. They then did the champagne toast. It was so windy but we all had fun with it.
After Stacey and Mike took pictures on the beach we walked back to the beach house to do their cake cutting. I setup the cake on the porch overlooking the ocean and they cut the first slice. It was great.
After all the wedding festivities Stacey and Mike were going to head out to the beach and then lunch. Truly a perfect day. Stacey emailed me the most touching message:
“Thanks so much for all you did for our wedding. You were awesome and made a very important event in our lives even more special.”
