Vow Renewal Ceremony Ideas

A vow renewal ceremony is a wonderful opportunity for a couple to reflect on their marriage journey and to recommit their love for each other. A vow renewal ceremony can also be the opportunity to have the wedding you always dreamed of, but never had. Vow renewal ceremonies can also include children.

We can include a sand ceremony for the children to be a part of the ceremony. Each child participating along with parents would have a different color sand to blend into an empty center container. This symbolizes that the individual containers of sand can no longer be separated and so will your marriage and family never be separated. The blended container of sand is then given back to you for a keepsake souvenir.

On many occasions we perform surprise vow renewals. No legal documents are required for a vow renewal, so it is a great opportunity for a surprise ceremony. If you don’t have a gift for your anniversary a vow renewal ceremony is a treasured gift that will always be remembered. We have suggestions and ideas on how we can surprise your spouse. We have packages that include photographer or without photographer. We would always take photos with our “We Still Do and Always Will” sign and provide a souvenir certificate recognizing your ceremony.

Vow renewal ceremonies can be performed anywhere.  It can be at your home, park, beach or any place that you would like. This can be planned in advance or last minute!! We do a lot of Clearwater Beach vow renewal ceremonies and St. George Island vow renewal ceremonies. Vow renewal ceremonies on the beach while you are on vacation are a fun way to celebrate your love while enjoying your vacation.

Florida Marriage License Information

Uncategorized

A valid Florida marriage license is required to be legally married in Florida. The marriage license can be issued at any County Clerk’s office in Florida; it doesn’t have to be the county where you are getting married. A Florida marriage license can be issued as early as 60 days before the wedding. For Florida residents there is a three-day waiting period after getting the license before you can be married. If a premarital on-line counseling course is completed, you can get married on the same day you get your license. Out-of-state residents can be married the same day that they get the Florida marriage license. When applying for your marriage license both parties must be present.

We do offer a convenient Florida mail away license service where you can “Show up and Get Married.” No going to the Courthouse!!! This is extremely popular for families and couples that travel to Clearwater or St George Island Florida to get marriage and don’t want to spend their time going to a courthouse.

Witnesses are not required. There is an optional spot for 2 witnesses to sign the marriage license but this is not required. If you truly want to elope with just you and your fiancé- you can 🙂

The Florida marriage license must be presented on the day of the wedding for notary or minister to complete. Whoever performs your ceremony would send the license back to the county where the license was issued. The county will then record your marriage and send you a certified copy of your marriage license. The certified copy of the marriage license is what you would need to change your name.

Sarah and Daniels wedding ceremony at Shiloh Farm Tallahassee

On October 15, 2017 I had the honor of officiating Sarah and Daniel’s wedding ceremony Shiloh Farm Tallahassee. It was the most beautiful day for a beautiful couple.

When planning their wedding Sarah had asked me for an affordable way to have someone make sure the reception ran smoothly. A Day of Coordinator was more than they were able to spend. Fortunately they are a very organized and well planned couple so my awesome assistant, Tyler, was able to work their reception for a few hours.

I worked with Sarah to put together their ceremony. She wanted a short and sweet ceremony that mentioned God. They also wanted to include a cord braiding ceremony. A traditional cord braiding ceremony uses gold, purple and white cords but they had tan colored rope so they asked me to help adjust this part of the ceremony. It really turned out beautiful, as you can see below.

Cord Braiding Ceremony

Today, Daniel and Sarah have chosen to braid three strands together into a single cord. Each strand has a significant meaning.

The 1st strand represents God and His majesty.

The 2nd strand represents the groom and his life.

The 3rd strand represents the bride and her life.

In braiding these three strands together, Daniel and Sarah have demonstrated that their marriage is more than a joining of two lives together. It is a unity with God as well. They have chosen to allow God to be at the center of their marriage, woven into every aspect of it.

As Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 reads, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.”

Bride & Groom braid cord

Today, Daniel and Sarah have been woven together by God as ONE in marriage! One man, one woman, and God. It was God who taught us to love. By keeping Him at the center of your marriage, His love will continue to bind you together as one throughout your marriage.

The reception was fun filled including a pizza buffet and candy bar!

Surprise Coquina Beach Wedding Ceremony

Surprise Coquina Beach Wedding Ceremony

News

Coquina Beach is a little hidden gem spot for a wedding. Coquina beach has the clearest water, and it is just beautiful. Their is path leading to the beach from the parking lot that brings you out to gorgeous beach with white sand. The nicest thing about it is no swimming is allowed because of the current. It makes it a beautiful spot for a beach wedding, and has amazing sunsets.

We were a part an amazing surprise Coquina Beach wedding ceremony on August 11th.

Lellani called me on Monday ,August 7th and asked if I would be available to officiate a surprise Coquina Beach wedding ceremony on Friday,  August 11 at sunset. Lellani,  her fiance Mario, and their two children were vacationing from Miami  and wanted to get married.  She booked our Tampa wedding package #4  .

Wedding day!

On Friday when George Sr and I arrived we found out then that it was going to be a surprise wedding for the children. Lellani told the children they would be going to the beach to have family photos taken. The children were the only guests. They were totally clueless that their parents were getting married. They were asking what the bottles were that I was setting up for the sand ceremony, and I just told them it was part of the background for the pictures. When we were all setup and ready to start the ceremony Lellani walked back away from the setup and we started to play the wedding song for Lellani to walk down the aisle. That’s when the oldest child said, “Gee it’s like your getting married or something.” Lellani and Mario replied, “We Are!” The children were so so excited!!! They said, “For real?!” They actually had tears of joy in their eyes. They had been asking their parents when they were going to get married and were never given an answer. The children seriously watched the ceremony and loved every minute of it.

It was a gorgeous sunset. Lellani, George Sr took photos of ceremony, and family photos. Lellani and Mario thanked us so much for such a wonderful ceremony, and all we did to help with their Surprise Coquina Beach wedding ceremony.
