Amy & Melanie’s Florida St George Island Wedding Elopement

Amy & Melanie’s Florida St George Island Wedding Elopement

Amy and Melanie are an amazing fun loving couple that I had the pleasure of marrying in June. They vacation in St. George Island every year and this year they decided to get legally married!

Amy called me about 2 weeks before the wedding saying, “we might be crazy but we want to get married while on vacation in St. George Island and wondered if I could help them with it.” I explained to them that they were not crazy and in fact last minute St George Island weddings are my specialty πŸ˜‰

Amy told me that a couple years ago they had had a big commitment ceremony but now that Florida allows same-sex marriages and it is recognized everywhere in the USA they wanted to make it official. Β They have 3 beautiful daughters and thought what better way to get legally married than when on vacation with their daughters. So we got to work planning their perfect little St George Island Wedding Elopement Ceremony. Since they didn’t have a lot of time and didn’t want to waste their vacation running around I told them I would put together a Florida St George Island Wedding Elopement package for them. Their package included a photographer, cake, flowers, and officiant (me). I handled all the planning and organizing so they could enjoy.

On June 6, 2015 I drove to the beach house they were renting and we had a beautiful ceremony on the outside porch. Amy, Melanie, and their girls held hands and you could fell the love.

After the ceremony we all walked down to the beach so the photographer, Bill Corbett, could take pictures. It was a beautiful day for a wedding ceremony and pictures.

I can officiate and plan your wedding....and I can baby sit while your photographer takes pictures! Hah! Amy and Melanie's youngest daughter did not like getting her feet sandy so I held her while they took pictures together. Photo by Corbett's Media.

Bill took a lot of awesome pictures then we were all hot and ready for cake! Everyone gathered around the table while Amy and Melanie cut their first piece of cake as a married couple.
