Getting married doesn’t have to be a big expensive ordeal. And if you don’t want a big wedding you don’t have to get married at the court house. Florida is a fairly simple state to get hitched in 🙂 You and your partner go to any Florida Clerk of Court, apply for a Marriage License, and then you can getting married! If both people are non-Florida residents you can actually be married on the same day that you get the License! Florida residents that have not taken an approved pre-martial course have a 3 day waiting period before the Marriage License is effective.
If you’re not going to have a fancy big wedding and loath the idea of a court house wedding where are you going to have it? Your house, my house, a park, or someplace special to you is always a great option.
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon but the gazebo made for a great Tallahassee wedding ceremony.
In Tallahassee we recently started offering a special for sweet & simple wedding in lieu of court house at the pretty Waverly Pond gazebo.  It’s a beautiful city park in midtown Tallahassee. The gazebo makes for the perfect little wedding ceremony spot. In our opinion this is much better than getting married at the court house 🙂
