Downtown Tallahassee Wedding Ceremony

Downtown Tallahassee Wedding Ceremony

News

On November 21, 2015 Nic married Lindsay. They are the perfect match. I had the honor of being their Wedding Officiant. The wedding was originally going to take place on the rooftop of the Tallahassee downtown DoubleTree hotel but renovation at the hotel wasn’t completed so their ceremony plans were changed. Lindsay and Nic decided to have their downtown Tallahassee wedding ceremony at the park across the street from the DoubleTree Hotel.

I met with Lindsay and Nic in May and we began putting their ceremony together. They truly cared about what was said during the ceremony, which made working with them great. Both Nic and Lindsay would email me with ideas, quotes, and questions. After many emails and revisions, we finally put together their dream ceremony. It was short, sweet, funny, and personalize just enough.

On the day of their wedding I was very excited to perform the ceremony we had all worked together on. It was a perfect day for a downtown Tallahassee wedding ceremony.

Lindsay’s Dad walked her down the aisle then she stopped and gave her Mom a big hug before stepping forward to Nic. As I officiated their ceremony I could see the love in their eyes. It was beautiful.

Their ceremony included a beautiful quote: “The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to just to love and be loved in return.”

After the ceremony, I instructed guests to head back to the DoubleTree for an evening of dinner and dancing.

Lindsay and Nic are a great couple and it was a true honor to be their wedding officiant. Recently Lindsay wrote me the kindest review on WeddingWire.com

“Amanda was the perfect officiant. She made the ceremony an easy process, but such a wonderful and beautiful experience and memory for us. Amanda met with us and sent us a plethora of ceremony examples. We pulled from the examples and crafted a ceremony which we sent to her for refinement. Amanda sent us suggestions on what we wrote, but really helped us make it very personal.

The day of the wedding was seamless. Amanda read our words PERFECTLY, just as I had imagined. The ceremony is probably the highlight of the wedding day, I’ll never forget how personal it was and how perfectly Amanda delivered it. Several of our guests commented on the ceremony and how “us” it was – Amanda helped us achieve that.

A big thanks to Amanda, who is also a great person to just hang out with (we see her out and about a lot). She helped us make our ceremony absolutely perfect!”

All the vendors involved in this Downtown Tallahassee Ceremony did an awesome job and truly helped make the ceremony outstanding:

Beautiful Tallahassee Wedding Ceremony at the Southwood House

Beautiful Tallahassee Wedding Ceremony at the Southwood House

News

Last Saturday, I had the honor of officiating Kelly and Ayers beautiful Tallahassee wedding ceremony at the Southwood House.

The ceremony started at 11am and was held under the oaks trees so it wasn’t too hot. Pretty white chairs were setup in the grass. The oak trees with hanging Spanish Moss provide so much natural beauty there was no need for any decorations.

Kelly and Ayers are a very easy-going loving couple. Kelly wore a white knee lengthy spaghetti strap dress and Ayers wore khaki pants and a Tommy Bahamas type shirt. Kelly was walked down the aisle by her son then I officiated their special ceremony. Kelly and Ayers were very excited that I was open to personalizing their wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony that included 2 bible readings and messages reminding all that love is the foundation of a strong relationship.

After the ceremony everyone was going to gather inside the Southwood House for a lunch reception.

A few days after the ceremony Kelly sent me a very touching emailing:

Thank you very much. You did a great job and we really appreciate you letting us write the ceremony & vows that we wanted. Several of our friends & family members commented on how well everything went. I had looked at your website and was familiar with you prior to meeting Jessica. She did recommend you to us when she found out that we were looking for someone to officiate our wedding. We actually got our marriage license in the mail yesterday. Thank you for doing such a wonderful job in personalizing our wedding to fit us. Would happily recommend you to anyone seeking a wedding officiant.

Rainy Day Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park

Rainy Day Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park

News

Josh and Brinnae decided to ditch their big South Florida wedding plans and elope in Tallahassee.  Josh called me asking if this was something I could help them with and I, of course, said YES!

We came up with the perfect Tallahassee elopement plan. They wanted to have the ceremony someplace pretty but also on the way to the airport so I suggested Lafayette Heritage Trail Park. Our plan was to meet on June 26th at the beautiful Lafayette Heritage Tail park in Tallahassee. We’d walk out onto one of the fingers and have a short and sweet ceremony. Then they’d take some pictures; I arranged to have a photographer, Lance Oliver, there to capture their Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park. This was going to take about 30-40 minutes then they’d jump in their car and head to the airport for a celebratory weekend getaway! Great plan, right?!

When June 26th arrive it was RAINING and RAINING!!! The photographer even called me asking, “Are they still up for this?” I called Brinnae to confirm and she said, “Yes! Rain or no rain this is happening!” So the plan went on! I told everyone to bring umbrellas and cross their fingers for a quick break in the rain.

We met in the parking lot and it stopped raining!!! We quickly walked out on to the nearest finger to have the ceremony. Because of the rain their was only 1 other fisherman out on the finger. It was really a perfect moment and spot for a Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park.

Josh was so sweet and had surprised Brinnae with a pretty bridal bouquet of flowers, a small wedding cake, and champagne. We had the ceremony and they loved it. Sweet, simple, and stress-free! They took lots of pictures then we went back to the picnic area for their cake and champagne toast. After that they got in their car and head to the airport for their getaway.

Josh and Brinnae are a wonderful couple and I loved helping them with their Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park. I often remind couples that your weddings is your day! Try not to get too wrapped up in all the craziness and remember to enjoy it. For Josh and Brinnae this Tallahassee Elopement at Lafayette Heritage Trail Park was exactly that.  Josh and Brinnae, cheers to MANY years of happiness.
