Andrews Memorial Chapel Dunedin Wedding Ceremony

Andrews Memorial Chapel Dunedin Wedding Ceremony

News

Shanik and Jeff had their wedding ceremony at Andrew’s Chapel in Dunedin on the Saturday before Labor Day. After being together for six years and having a beautiful five year old daughter, Kierra, they decided it was time to be married. Andrews Chapel has the historic early Florida Victorian charm and is centrally located close to downtown Dunedin near Hammock Park. The chapel has an open alter with shiny hardwood flooring and wooden pews. A convenient changing room for bride & bridal party is adjacent to the chapel.

Shanik had relatives from her hometown, Jamaica. Here Grandma was so tearful, and almost had me in tears, as she was escorted down the aisle to “Ave Maria”.  The bridesmaid wore teal sleeveless dresses and the groomsmen had matching ties with beige suits. Shanik looked absolutely stunning with her sleeveless white dress. The dress had a jewel beaded waistline and Shanik accented her neck with a lovely necklace and matching head piece. She got her dress at David’s Bridal and carried a beautiful bouquet of white and deep peach colored roses. Their daughter, Kierra, carried the rings in a box. She was very excited and looked adorable.

Shanik and Jeff were having a reception at 315 Banquet Hall in Palm Harbor.

Shanik sent me a text message the following Monday and said, “Thank you so much Charmaine you helped make our wedding day perfect and are really thankful.”

I really enjoyed meeting them and serving as their Dunedin wedding ceremony officiant

Meet Charmaine! Your Palm Harbor Wedding Officiant!

News

Hi, I’m Charmaine your Palm Harbor wedding officiant. I am a native Bostonian. 17 years ago I decided to move with the family to Palm Harbor, Florida because I couldn’t stand the cold weather any longer. I’ve been married to my husband George for 32 years. It seems like yesterday that we got married. 10 years ago I retired from a management/customer service position with Delta Airlines where I worked for over 32 years. I had been a Florida Notary Public during my airline career and when I retired I decided to further pursue notary opportunities, including wedding officiating.

My daughter & son-in-law Ryan enjoy vacationing with us and we always like having them with us. We love to hike together, go exploring, and going out to eat. We recently took at trip to Bryce National Park & Zion National Park. Two beautiful parks with lots of great hiking trails and lots of neat things to explore.

In the evening, I take my dog, Bella, out walking. My little granddaughter, Adriana, loves coming over to Grammy’s house, and of course, I love having her come over. We go swimming in the pool together, feed the ducks in a nearby park, or go to a fun place like Adventure Island, Lowry Park Zoo, or Glazer’s Children’s Museum. We have so many fun parks & places to go in Tampa Bay area.

My husband George & I enjoy it when he has a photo shoot at a wedding that I’m performing. We usually end the day watching brainless TV show’s like the Bachelor, America’s Got Talent, Dancing With the Stars or put on a good movie. We love going to the movies, go out to eat, bike ride on Pinellas Trail, and just staying home enjoying our home & each other.

Indian Rocks Beach Wedding Ceremony

Indian Rocks Beach Wedding Ceremony

News

Megan contacted me about performing her Indian Rocks Beach wedding ceremony. She and her fiancé, Michael, would be traveling to Tampa, Florida from Tennessee and wanted a Florida beach wedding. We ‘saved the date’ for Friday, August 15th at 6:00 PM.

When their wedding day arrived it was pouring rain, all day. I contacted Megan at 3:00 PM and asked her about an alternate plan. She said she didn’t have one and was hopefully it was going to stop raining by 5:00 PM. Sure enough at 5:15pm it stopped raining and actually turned out to be quite a nice evening on the beach.

Everyone was crossing their fingers that the ran would stop for Michael and Megan's Indian Rocks Beach wedding ceremony...and just 45 minutes before the ceremony start time the rain stopped!

Megan met Michael four years ago on MySpace. Megan had a quote in her vows that she said fit her and Michael perfectly, “True love has a habit of coming back”. Megan said she and Michael had some down periods in their earlier days of their relationship and weren’t together for seven months. They had even dated other people. She & Michael came back to each other and even Michael when we spoke on Friday told me they just knew they couldn’t be without each other. They have a beautiful 20 month old son, who so cutely toddled down to the ceremony.

Congratulations, Michael and Megan. I had a wonderful time being a part of your Indian Rocks Beach wedding ceremony.

A simple wedding setup was done on the beach. Quilted blankets were laid out for guest to sit on and two post of bamboo like greenery were setup on each side where they would be standing.

They had a tray table for the sand ceremony and little candle lanterns alongside the blankets and it all looked simple and very nice.

News

As a Tampa wedding officiant service, we are often are asked about unique places or ideas for a Tampa area wedding. We haven’t performed weddings at all the following locations, but do have some scheduled to do in the near future.

We think all of these are great ideas for a unique Tampa area wedding!

In November, George Jr. will be performing a wedding at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa. The wedding will be in the Reilly Reserve in the zoo where the giraffe’s are locate. There is a Safari Lodge where the reception can be held. The lodge is in the Safari Africa habitat area where there are zebra’s, elephants, giraffe’s and more. How cool?!?!!!! We’ll be sure to blog after the event!!

Another idea for unique Tampa area wedding… Big Cat Rescue in Tampa. Ceremonies can be held in the Big Cat Sanctuary. The Big Cat Rescue is home to 100’s of unwanted, abandoned, and abused animals. All the wedding dollars go directly to the cats providing them with food and healthcare. Receptions are not available at the Rescue but guest can get a close-up private tour of the sanctuary.

"All cool cats get married at Big Cat Rescue."

How about having these cats as your wedding guests?

How about going to a private island for your unique Tampa area wedding? Island Paradise Charters leaves out of New Port Richey, FL.  It travels down towards the Anclote Key Islands off Tarpon Springs. Dolphins, manatees, and beautiful birds will be seen as you travel to the private island. You can have your wedding ON the boat or on the private island. You can have an island cookout for your reception and just have a fun beach wedding and ceremony.
