2016 NYE Tallahassee Wedding Ceremonies

2016 NYE Tallahassee Wedding Ceremonies

News

I officiated two New Year’s Eve wedding ceremonies in Tallahassee! How else would an officiant end the year?  😉

My NYE started with a sweet and simple wedding ceremony at the beautiful Waverly Pond gazebo. Chelsey and Brandon have been engaged for nearly 7 years! They decided to end 2016 by getting married. Brandon’s brother was present for the ceremony then they were heading to dinner. It was a very sweet ceremony to officiate.

The 2nd wedding I officiated on NYE was for Amanda and Todd at the Four Points by Sheraton Downtown Tallahassee. They had setup the outdoor pool deck for the ceremony. It was really a neat idea, and so beautiful. Amanda and Todd read the most heartfelt vows to one another. You could truly feel the love they had for each other. After the ceremony guests were invited to a cocktail hour on the pool deck which include hot chocolate…because it was a little chilly.

These two 2016 NYE Tallahassee wedding ceremonies were the perfect way to end the year. I am so grateful to all the couples I officiated weddings for in 2016!!

Cheers to a 2017 full of love and happiness! Xoxo, Amanda

Rain on your wedding day happens. Especially in Florida! When it does rain and changes your wedding plans, I wish there was something I could do. It rained on my wedding day so I truly understand what a disappointment it can be. But rain is also beautiful and brings freshness to earth. As long as you are marrying the one you love most, rain or shine, it’ll be the best day ever! Trust me!

Casey and Matt were married on March 26th at a rainy Maclay Gardens Tallahassee wedding ceremony. I had the honor of officiating their ceremony.  The day before we met at Maclay Gardens for a rehearsal. The weather forecast was showing high chance of rain for Saturday, but we all crossed our fingers it’d hold off. I guided everyone through the rehearsal. Casey and I talked about what we’d do for “plan b” in the event of rain.

On Saturday it was raining and raining and raining. I felt so bad because Maclay Gardens is a beautiful for outdoor Tallahassee weddings. I arrived at Maclay Gardens and big tents were up around the cottage.

One small tent was placed right outside the house. For the ceremony Casey walked out of the house with her Dad then we had the ceremony right there. There was a second larger tent setup adjacent to the house where other guests gathered for the ceremony.

Casey and Matt are the sweetest couple. Rain was not going to stop them from having a wonderful day shared with family and friends. We gathered closely under the tent for their ceremony. Casey’s Dad walked her down the aisle and gave her to Matt.

Hello friends! My name is Amanda Doumanian Reeves and I am your Tallahassee Wedding Officiant 🙂

WAL-3

I have been officiating weddings in the and around Tallahassee for the past 5 years. I have seen ALL types of weddings and love helping couples create a ceremony that is special to them. I have performed short and sweet ceremonies in my home, religious ceremonies, non-religious ceremonies, elopement ceremonies, ceremonies with dogs, ceremonies with kids, sand ceremonies, hand ceremony, and so much more! It’s so fun to get to know couples and be a part of their special day. Tallahassee is a small city so I even occasionally run into couples I have married…which is great to see how they are doing. One time a couple I married attended a wedding I was officiating. Another time, I got to marry the sister of a lady I had married a few years before SO I jokingly said I am now part of their family 🙂 I have even married a couple on the Wakulla Springs boat ride! Hah!

I will marry you anywhere.!

I went to Florida State University and have a B.S. and M.S in Communication…thus where I learned to public speak. I also was involved in a local Toast Masters Club for a couple years.

On 10/19/14, I married my best friend, Ryan. We have one dog-child, Lola. She’s a black and tan dachshund aka wiener dog 🙂

When I’m not busy being a Tallahassee Wedding Officiant and notary, you will find me traveling or planning my next adventure, eating out at a local restaurant, watching a movie or TV, and working out. One of the coolest things, I’ve done is hike the 4 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu.

I am a volunteer Board Member of the Heart Gallery North Florida. I also founded the Tallahassee Dachshund Club- just for fun!

I take a lot of pride in my work and my position as a Tallahassee wedding officiant. I understand a lot of trust goes into allow me to marry you…and I truly appreciate it. I’ve had so many couples leave nice comments about my service on WeddingWire:

Amanda was such a wonderful officiant! We could not have asked for a nicer, more professional person for our wedding. The ceremony was slightly hectic as it was on outdoor venue and a storm was coming, but she helped getting everyone where they needed to be and we couldn’t have been happier.”

“Amanda was very professional and accommodating to our needs. She not only assisted us with the legal aspects of marriage but helped create a nice flow to our wedding day festivities. Highly recommend.”

I’m your Tallahassee Wedding Officiant and I will work with you to make your wedding wonderful. Everything from vows to ceremony director and much more. Thank you to all the couples I’ve had the privilege of marrying and getting to know…and HELLO to all the new couples I will meet in the future.
